The Glenlivet was the first distillery to be licensed under the Excise Act of 1823, making it a pioneer of legal Scotch whisky production. Its light, floral, and fruity style became the template for Speyside whisky. The visitor centre offers an immersive journey through the distillery's 200-year history.
