Glengyle Distillery, producing Kilkerran Single Malt, was originally founded in 1872, closed in 1925, and was re-opened by J&A Mitchell in 2004. It prides itself on completing all parts of the whisky production process on site, including traditional floor maltings at its sister distillery, Springbank.

Campbeltown Region
Perched on the tip of the Kintyre Peninsula, Campbeltown was once the whisky capital of the world, with over 30 distilleries operating in the late 19th century. Today, just three remain — but they produce some of Scotland's most distinctive and characterful whiskies.
